Trinidad & Tobago is set to host the Caribbean Music Awards for the first time, bringing one of the region’s major music award events to Port of Spain this September.
A Historic Caribbean Staging
The fourth annual Caribbean Music Awards will take place at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) in Port of Spain on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The official program also includes a welcome and networking experience on September 18 and a Stars & Steel Pan Concert and Awards event on September 20.
A Weekend Focused on Caribbean Music
The expanded Elite Weekend Experience is designed to bring artists, music professionals, fans and Caribbean culture together across three days. The main awards ceremony will feature a red-carpet experience and an official after-party.
Why Trinidad Matters
Bringing the awards to Trinidad & Tobago gives the ceremony a direct connection to one of the Caribbean’s most influential music cultures. Trinidad and Tobago has played a central role in the development and global spread of soca, calypso and steelpan.

The 2026 staging gives Caribbean artists and industry professionals an opportunity to celebrate the region’s musical achievements on Caribbean soil while connecting the local audience with artists and music professionals from across the diaspora.
